German President Joachim Gauck is set to arrive later
today, Monday February 2, 2015 for a five-day state visit.
President Gauck will hold political talks with
President Jakaya Kikwete, members of parliament and civil society
representatives. His partner Ms Daniela Schadt and a high-ranking business
delegation accompany the German President.
On February 4, President Gauck will travel to Zanzibar for talks with
President Ali Mohamed Shein and participants of an inter-religious dialogue
forum. The German Federal President Federal will leave for Arusha in the
evening.
In Arusha, President Gauck will visit the African Court on
Human and Peoples’ Rights, the East African Community (EAC) and give a speech
at the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA). He will hand over the
Operations Command Centre for anti poaching established by the Deutsche
Zoologische Gesellschaft in Seronera, Serengeti National Park.
