Tigo Tanzania’s Obedi Laiser wins global prize at employer
event in Miami

Tigo welcomed back Obedi Laiser to Tanzania today following his
spectacular global employee award at a
prestigious event last week in Miami, USA hosted by Millicom, the Swedish
telecommunications and media company, which owns Tigo.
Laiser was nominated by Tigo’s General Manager Diego
Gutierrez for his work and showing real determination as an individual and team
member through his contribution to Tigo in the past year add details. Laiser was one of 21 finalist nominees
selected from a Millicom workforce of over 11,000 people across fifteen
countries in Africa and Latin America. Laiser was one of the seven ultimate
winners in the category for Finance.
Gutierrez said “We are so pleased for Laiser. He really
deserves this award as his work has been truly outstanding over the past year.
This, combined with a positive attitude, has been a fine example to all our
colleagues in Tigo. It is also an honour for the country as a whole to have
such recognition from Millicom, a world leader in providing a digital
lifestyle.”
Laiser added “I am so proud to have won this award. It has
been a true team effort over the past year and I have accepted the prize on
behalf of all my wonderful team, everyone at Tigo and of course Tanzania.”

waliochaguliwa kutoka katika wafanyikazi wa Millicom takriban watu 11,000
