Apps Africa, a leading pan-African technology news portal and advisory service, organized Apps Africa Awards to promote and honour great innovation across the mobile and tech ecosystem in Africa. The Awards received diverse entries from 25 countries and both the finalists and winners are a testament to how technology is being used to disrupt business models, empower people and drive positive social impact across the continent.

An independent panel of leading industry experts chose the finalists and winners.

It is a great honour for Shule Direct to be among the Finalists of the Educational Award among great innovations from other African countries. The highlight of the award ceremony that took place at a pan-African mobile and tech awards party in Cape Town, South Africa was winning the Women in Tech Award. Our Founder and Executive Director, Ms. Faraja Nyalandu won the final award of the night for her outstanding work with Shule Direct and Shule Plus.

It is our hope that this recognition will ignite the potential of other young African women to get into technology and innovation for greater good.
