ARU/ DAAD In-Country/In-Region Postgraduate Scholarship Programme
Ardhi University has been offered scholarship support under the DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme for a period of three years. The first year of the Scholarship Programme for the 2015/16 academic year will commence in October 2015. A total of eight (8) scholarships, four (4) for Masters and four (4) for PhD will be offered during the 2015/16 academic year.
Eligibility: For PhD scholarships, staff members of public or private universities or candidates considered for teaching or research staff recruitment are eligible to apply for the scholarships. The scholarships will be offered at Ardhi University in the following fields:
- Architecture
- Construction Economics
- Disaster Risk Management
- Environmental Technology and Management
- Geomatics
- Public Policy and Programme analysis
Only applicants who qualify for admission in the above fields will be considered.
Duration and commencement: Scholarships are available for duration of up to a maximum of two years for Masters Programmes and three years for PhD programmes starting from October 2015.
Equal opportunities: Female candidates and candidates from less privileged regions or groups as well as candidates with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.
Relevance to development: PhD applicants should submit proposals, which must demonstrate relevance to development priorities. All submitted proposals will be subjected to a plagiarism test.
Application Procedure and Deadline:
Copies of application documents containing filled Application Forms for Admission including all supporting documents indicated in the Ardhi University application forms and filled DAAD Application Forms and all additional documents specified in the DAAD Information Sheet for Scholars must be submitted to Ardhi University in both hard and soft copies. All submissions should be addressed to the following address:

Soft copies should be sent to aru-daad@aru.ac.tz. In addition, a soft copy of complete application must be sent to DAAD (applications@daadafrica.org).
